Change: It Starts In Me

          There are only two reasons why people change. Either they learned a lot or they’ve been hurt too much.

      

        I change because I know there is something wrong. Maybe in my attitudes, the way I act or maybe the way I mingle with other people. For the past years, I know I’m not that so fearless. I don’t have also the confidence to talk to other people. That’s only one thing that I want to change, to have self-confidence. This year, I want to change the way I act. Because the past years, I act so childish and now I want to become more mature.

      

          I will change because I want to improve myself. I want to be independent and be the best. I’ll try not to depend on the others.

New Year, New Me…

     
            Every New Year, there are some things that we would like to change in our looks and even in our attitudes.

This year I would like to challenge myself to be the best girl that I can be. I’ll promise to myself that I will be more patient and more understanding to other people.

In short, I will change the bad attitudes I’ve done last year for the better me.

The Real Essence of Christmas

                                            “Why don’t you give LOVE on Christmas Day?”

         

             Christmas is the time for us to celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Also, Christmas is not all about giving gifts or giving material things it can be also about LOVE. Instead of buying luxurious gifts for our friends, why don’t we just show our LOVE and CARE for them?

          Every 25^th Day of December, we celebrates the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ because we all Roman Catholics believe that this day our Saviour was born. We had already practiced to give gifts on Christmas Day. But what is really the real essence of Christmas? For me, showing my LOVE, CARE, and RESPECT to other people is what matters most. No need to buy expensive gifts to make my friends happy.  I’d rather want to buy low-cost gifts but has important value and show to them my biggest respect.

          Christmas is not only the time to show our love, care, and respect for them. Even though it’s not Christmas we can also show to them all the things that we want to show them.

          

Climate Change

              Based on my observations, climate change is one of the biggest problems of us humans here on Earth. Climate change can cause by many various activities. And because of these causes of climate change, there are many effects that are happening to us and so with our mother earth. The question is, how can we help in lessening the causes of climate change?

        One of the causes of climate change is that there is an increase in temperature. This cause can affect our health directly. There are also human activities that are happening on Earth now. In the past years, we had already released too much amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and most of the gases are from fossil fuels. We need to move now. Let us help one another. The lease thing we can do now is to teach the children on how to save our community. Let us stop those activities that can cause climate change because in the end we are still the one who will suffer.

              It’s wrong to say that we are the one who are saving our planet. The truth is, our planet Earth is the one who is saving us. The only thing that we can save for our bright tomorrow is HUMANITY.

Outpouring Hearts and Minds through Literacy and English Proficiency

        Nowadays, English linguistics is one of the most commonly used language inside and outside our country. It is one of the easiest languages that are generally used by the people for collaborating with others.

       At first, English language is hard to learn. Why? Because some of us are not used to speak in English. Some of us didn’t know how to read English words. We cannot even make essays or poems that are written in English. Maybe it’s time for us to step up and be determined to learn English. We cannot teach others if we also do not know how to speak in it. So let’s start it with ourselves. Let us learn how to read, how to speak, and how to make outputs using English language. If we can do that, maybe we are now ready to teach the young ones.

       Every one of us must enhance our ability in writing and speaking in English dialect so that we can understand each other particularly the foreigners who come here in our country and communicate with other people faster and easier especially if we are out of the country.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Why is life so unfair?

           In many situations, we can vocalize directly that we have no equal rights in this world. But why? Why it is that still there is no equal rights and no equal opportunities for the people? When will be the time for us to feel that we are all equal?

          All of us must be treated in the same way. As of now, we can already observe what is really happening in our country. Let me cite an example. In Politics. The one who is more affluent may have the ability to win the fight and the one who is poorer will be defeated in the fight. The more affluent person won because he is wealthy and we all know that money is powerful and can buy anything in this world. Get my point? So in this situation, I can say that there is no equal right. Another example. In Mass Media. If the individual is a well-known artist, the reporter concentrates only to her/him in a long period of time but if the individual is not famous the reporter focuses on her/him in a short period of time only. Am I right? In this situation, is there an equal right? There are no equal rights and no equal opportunities because the sympathy of the people goes to the person who is in higher position because the people are afraid of them because they are powerful.

          By this time, I may be able to say that it is still impossible for us to feel that we are all equal. Because we all know that even the father of our country do not also treat us in the same way. I hope that in the succeeding years, we can make this possible, for us to feel equal by having oneness and working cooperatively.

REFLECTION

               Our knowledge in ICT won’t stop there. In first grading we studied on how to make blogs and post our works in our own account. This second grading, another lesson were shared to us by Mrs. Vera Cruz.

       I learned it easier than the first lesson that was shared to us. Sometimes I can encounter some problems in my works like typographical error and wrong instructions.

       In order to avoid these problems, I learned to take my time when making these. I must do it slowly but surely. Moving on, I will always remember that when working, time management is the best partner.
